EURO-AWARD 2008 / Football Championship 2008
Dear Short-Wave Enthusiasts
On the occasion of the European Football Championship 2008, which takes place both in Austria and Switzerland at 4 different venues, the Austrian Radio League (OEVSV) and the Union of Swiss Short Wave Amateurs (USKA) offer this limited time contest.
The main intention of this contest is, as it was at the WM2006 in Germany, to stir as many radio amateurs as possible into calling our special stations (Sonderstationen) to support the spirit of amateur radio, to make many radio contacts, and to spread the word about amateur radio throughout the world.
We all, and especially the Sonderstationen, hope to make many successful radio contacts with all of you starting from April 26, 2008 until June 30, 2008, and we are looking forward to each award application that comes through to us.

stations near and far!
